IN Peru A tragedy occurred in the city of Chicha during a regional tournament match between Juventud Bellavista and Familia Ciocca.
In the first half, due to a thunderstorm, the referee decided to stop the match. However, the players did not have time to leave the field, already 10 seconds after the whistle on the field struck by lightning.
34-year-old defender Jose Hugo De la Cruz Mesa died on the spot. Four more were injured and were taken to hospital. Juan Ciocca Llacta, who was close to De la Cruz, remains in serious condition.
