The Korean forward has been playing for Tottenham since 2015
Tottenham activates the option to extend the contract with the striker Son Heung Min for one more season.
The 32-year-old Korean’s current agreement with the club runs until the summer of 2025.
Son Heung-min has been performing in Europe throughout his professional career. He devoted five years to the German Hamburg and Bayer, and since 2015 he has represented Tottenham (more than 400 matches, 165 goals and 87 assists). The forward played 129 matches for the South Korean national team and scored 49 goals. He is 8 fights and 10 goals away from Boom Kun Cha’s absolute record.
In February of this year, Son was recognized as the best Asian football player of all time by the British publication FourFourTwo. Second place went to the aforementioned Bum Kun Cha.
This fall, Son spent about five weeks in the infirmary, first recovering from a hamstring injury and then having problems with his hip. The Korean returned to the field in the last round of the Premier League match against Aston Villa (4:1).
Tottenham will play their next match on November 7 – in the Europa League they will face Galatasaray away. Regarding the Premier League, in the next round Spurs will host Ipswich at home on November 10.
