Carrasco: We need more confidence now if we want to win two games in a row

LNZ is in seventh place in the UPL

Mentor LNZ Andres Carrasco summed up the results of the meeting with Zorya (2:1) in the 12th round of the UPL.

“I think we had a strong first half. They didn’t create many chances only in the last 5-10 minutes of the half when we weren’t able to handle the intensity of the game. The players understood very well what we needed and did it.”

“There were a lot of heroes in the match. Starting from Salihu, who defended very well, Jashari, Pasic, Mollo, Topalov, who scored a goal. I wouldn’t name just one last name. I would like to congratulate the entire team. We need more confidence now if we want to win 2 games in a row.”

“I think we were a little unlucky in key moments between the two breaks in the national team, when we deserved to beat Kolos, to beat Chernomorets, but we couldn’t do it, and it knocked us down mentally. I think we’re on the road to recovery now.”

LNZ achieved a strong-willed victory thanks to goals from Dmitry Topalov and Mollo Bessal, for whom this goal became his debut in the T-shirt of the Cherkassy club.

Thanks to this victory, LNZ overtook Zarya and Rukh, rising to 7th place in the tournament table. Andres Carrasco’s team scored 18 points.

LNZ will play its next match on November 9 against Obolon.
