The Red Devils want to conquer the land around Old Trafford.

Manchester United has postponed making a final decision on the construction of the stadium until next summer, reports The Telegraph.

The construction of the new 100,000-seater stadium will be accelerated if the Mancunians can provide additional land around their current Old Trafford stadium.

United co-owners Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Glazer family are calling on Lord Coe’s Old Trafford regeneration task force to be as “bold and bold” as possible in maximizing the potential impact of the new stadium .

The new stadium option would ideally require land adjacent to Old Trafford, which is occupied by a large rail freight terminal that is being redeveloped on a new 40.4-hectare site.

United want to explore all possible options to maximize the space available at the club. And the club isn’t expected to fully understand whether it can until next spring.
