Zarya (Lugansk) ‒ LNZ (Cherkasy) ‒ 1:2 |
INgoalkeeper – Georgy Ermakov (FC Alexandria)
Polesie has perhaps the largest “depth of roster” in the league; Ashur has at his disposal the top wingers outside the bigs, Nazarenko and Gutsulyak, as well as a large selection of foreign players. In the end, if the club abandons the recent leaders of the attack (primarily Budkovsky and Kozak), and also allows itself to keep Macuan in deep reserve, this also testifies to his abilities. Nevertheless, Ermakov withstood the pressure of his opponents and coped with the blows of Lednev, Wendell and Mustafaev. You should have seen the swing with which Georgiy beat Nazarenko at his own goal! This is Ermakov’s sixth shutout match – he is the joint leader of the championship with Lviv young goalkeepers Kemkin and Ledviy in this indicator.
PrFirst defender – Alexey Sych (Rukh)
In Krivoy Rog, Sych played successfully against the Kuzik-Mykytyshyn team, and also performed a large amount of work on interceptions, rebounds and low-level combats. Regarding the connections of the flanker to attacks, Alexey has significantly improved and is now one of the best in the entire UPL. For the second round in a row he chalked up an assist: this time Karabin took advantage of his cross at the far post from an acute angle.
Tsecentral defender – Vladislav Priymak (Obolon)
For only the second time in the championship, Obolon played without conceding goals, and this was against Veres with the experienced Stepanyuk, versatile forwards Mrvaljevich and Gaiduchik, as well as fast flanks led by Luan and Dakhnovsky. We note the very high-quality play of Priymak, who created a good duet with Karas, worked in tackling and intercepting the ball and was distinguished by his intransigence in working with the Rivne forwards. Nulevka is now a completely satisfactory and even somewhat optimistic result for the people of Kiev, even if they want to beat a competitor at home in the fight for survival.
TseCentral defender – Artem Shabanov (FC Alexandria)
Among the players who left Polesie not entirely of their own free will in the summer, one can note the experienced defender Shabanov. Well, he played the match against his ex-teammates with such courage that he proved his level to everyone. In the won home match, he and Kampusch slowed down Paixao (the moment the Brazilian was injured occurred precisely in the fight with the centerback at the entrance to the penalty area). Several times at once Shabanov slowed down the opponents’ attacks, not even allowing them to break through, and also several times took part in set pieces on the opponent’s goal and was able to score.
Lefirst defender – Vladislav Dubinchak (Dynamo)
Let’s say right away: we won’t say anything about the quality of Dynamo’s defensive play. However, the high class of players, even with “festival” mistakes from behind, made it possible to defeat such an opponent as the modern Ingulets. So Dubinchak worked well on the flank, took part in a number of sharp attacks and gave the most spectacular assist of the season. It was Vladislav who gave a nod along the left edge to Vanat, who opened the scoring in the match against the champion of the First League of the PFL of Ukraine.
Tsecentral midfielder – Marlon Gomez (Shakhtar)
The player of the Brazilian Olympic team, Marlon, was invited to join the team, but injuries did not allow him to play evenly and at a consistently high level for at least a month with constant participation in the starting lineup. All the time, if not injury, then rotation – and the player is of a high level and football intelligence. This is evidenced by his match against Chernomorets, where Gomez did an excellent passing job, giving, in particular, a great assist in the episode with Zubkov’s goal, and also satisfactorily completed the proposed amount of rough work in the middle of the field. The removal in Klasichny could have a serious impact on Kryskiva if Marlon continues to perform on the same high note.
PrFirst midfielder – Mollo Bessala (LNZ)
The Cameroonian scored a lot in his time at home and in Estonia, but in Ukraine he now distinguished himself only with his first goal. But the importance of Mollo’s finish can hardly be overestimated, because this goal brought LNZ a strong-willed away victory over a recent participant in the European Cup, Zorya. Bessala did a lot of work up front, playing well for the team and not shying away from duels, and also found himself in striking positions several times and could have scored more. After being eliminated from the Ukrainian Cup by first-league Victoria, the Cherkassy club needed such rehabilitation.
Atoffensive midfielder – Anton Salabay (Kolos)
For several rounds in a row, young Veleten and Salabay have been demonstrating a good level of football and deserved the result. It was Salabay, replacing Diogo Santos, who scored the winning goal after Bolivar’s measured pass. After 37 minutes on the field, Anton significantly livened up the game, in particular, shooting three times on goal and making several promising passes. He is one of those who confirms the correctness of the personnel vector of Pozdeev’s work.
Atoffensive midfielder – Nikolay Shaparenko (Dynamo)
Shaparenko declassed his opponents in the match with Ingulets: he scored twice, gave a well-planned and executed assist to Vanat and completely dominated a wide area of the field from his own penalty area to someone else’s. What is there! In terms of the number of touches in someone else’s penalty area (and this is one of the key indicators of dominance at the goal and composure with the ball), Shaparenko was ahead of most center forwards in this round. We will not repeat the “joke for 300”, but we will emphasize that Kolya is now one of five, no more, domestic football players in the domestic arena who have truly outgrown the UPL level.
Lefirst midfielder – Oleg Ocheretko (Karpaty)
On the left we will place Ocheretko, who periodically fills this position in the Carpathians, but in general often moves to the flanks. Playing according to the old insider terminology, Oleg outplayed his counterparts from the Left Bank and made a great contribution to the first crushing victory of the First League vice-champion since the summer. His credits include a goal from the penalty spot, an assist on Chachua (although, of course, it was really a shot) and an assist on Ustimenko, who gave the assist to Podlepenets.
Onfalling – Vladislav Vanat (Dynamo)
Competition with Guerrero is emerging, and in this regard we see how Vanat has added zeal and sharpness. In the match with Ingultsoo, he opened the scoring in the opening with a pass from Dubinchak and scored before the break after a pass from Shaparenko, and then assisted Nikolai for the fifth goal. A very strong individual performance, but, of course, the young talent should be assessed by matches in European cups and the national team, and not with the division newcomer Ingulets, we note without any disrespect to the rival Dynamo.

The key match for the unofficial title of “third force” was played between FC Alexandria and Polesie (Zhitomir). And, despite the exceptionally powerful complement of the guests, it was the hosts, the Alexandrians, who won. Rotan competently distributed his forces between the tournaments, although both teams played for the Ukrainian Cup on the same day (let’s be objective that their opponents were of completely different levels – first-league YUKSA and one of the competitors in the UPL Krivbass), and also achieved complete advantage in the most difficult duels match – stopping Nazarenko and Gutsulyak on the flanks, who in the past caused great trouble for this team. Solidarity with Dynamo and a very real fight for medals is the result of the trust of the management and the thoughtful work of the coaching staff of FC Alexandria in its philosophy.
- Analysis from the All-Ukrainian Association of Football Coaches – Here.
There are no problems with successful substitutions in this round. Anton Salabay (see the nomination “best attacking midfielder of the tour”) in Poltava and Evgeniy Smirny scored the winning goals for the Kovalevites and Alexandrians, respectively, but our winner is the 2019 world champion Denis Ustimenko. Appreciate the beauty of the situation: in the 69th minute he replaces Shah, and two minutes later, during a beautiful multi-move, he gives an assist to Podlepenets for the first goal of the match! In general, Karpaty won against the Left Bank – 3:0, and if their bad luck in attack had continued, we don’t even know how it would have ended.
- SportArena.com statistics: 9 matches for the championship, 1 assist.
Bezerra has traditionally been one of the sharpest in the Alexandrians, and also won his battle on the flank. Unlike Nazarenko and Gutsulyak, who were blocked by the home team’s defensive line, Zhuan found a way to the opponent’s goal and, after one of the shifts, gave a cool assist to Smirny – this was the only and winning goal of the match.
- SportArena.com statistics: 11 league matches, 3 goals, 3 assists.
So far the Venezuelan has not scored for the new team, but he is already trying to benefit Kolos. Bolivar managed the ball very competently, laying it out for Salabay’s winning goal. He did a great job in front and Isenko shot at goal himself. With such activity, the long-awaited goal will definitely come.
- SportArena.com statistics: 7 league matches, 2 assists.
Zaderaka made a beautiful pass to goalkeeper Rukh, but an equally (if not more!) beautiful assist from Sosa was a sighted throw to Maxim’s move. You can watch the goal on video.
- SportArena.com statistics: 8 league matches, 1 goal.
Two goals, an assist and complete dominance over the opponents – Shaparenko played the match with Ingulets at the top level. If the glass of the bathroom partitions were stronger, we would still look at Classic with such a trump card in the center of the field
- SportArena.com statistics: 8 league matches, 4 goals, 6 assists.
