The Spaniard once again pointed to the future of the tournament, which continues to be the subject of controversy.

On the eve of the Champions League match against Sporting, a press conference was held by Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola.

The Spanish specialist spoke again on the topic of increasing the number of games, recalling the Club World Cup.

“Maybe we will go to the FIFA Club World Cup, reach the final stages of the competition… And play almost 70 games in a season!”

“The 70 games are like the NBA, yes… But in the NBA there are four months of vacation, and we have three weeks!”, quotes coach Fabrizio Romano as saying.

Manchester City will take part in the revised Club World Cup, which FIFA has decided to expand by increasing the number of participants to 32 teams.

We remind you that the match between Sporting and Manchester City will take place on Tuesday, November 5th. The starting whistle will sound at 22:00 Kyiv time.
