Shakhtar’s coach shared his expectations for the next match in the Champions League.
Shakhtar head coach Marino Pusic spoke about the match in the fourth round of the Champions League against Young Boys.
The Pitmen coach noted that he expects an interesting confrontation, as both teams will try to take points in this match.
“Every game is important. And, of course, we want to win this match, because in this case we will increase our chances to achieve the main goal. Everything is possible in the new format of the Champions League. As I said earlier, the Young Boys match was a game against a very good team and both clubs needed points, so it will be an interesting match.
We are in strong physical and mental shape. I’m not worried about that. We have played well in the last few matches and the team is in good shape to take on Young Boys. And, of course, we have roster rotation: in the last two or three matches, almost all players have been on the field and have shown good performances. So, we are in good physical shape and also strong mentally, which allows us to feel good about this battle.
First of all, Young Boys is a regular participant in the Champions League and Europa League, a team that plays many matches at this level. If we talk about the club in general, then, of course, they got into the Champions League for a reason. They play vertical football, very fast players, a well organized team that puts a lot of pressure on the opponent. Let’s see who wins this one. We will also play in a certain style. Because, as I said, this is a very good opponent and it will be an interesting game,” Shakhtar’s official website quoted Pusic as saying.
We remind you that the Champions League match Shakhtar – Young Boys will take place on November 6 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany and will start at 19:45 Kyiv time.
