The coach spoke to reporters.
Dynamo Kyiv head coach Alexander Shovskovsky attends a press conference before the match against Ferencvaros in the Europa League. The specialist answered questions from journalists.
After three opening matches, Dynamo have zero points and zero goals scored. All opponents are from the top 5 leagues, and tomorrow for the first time you will play a team that is not from the top championships. Do you feel pressure to win tomorrow?
– Every coach tries to win. Some things work, some things don’t, that’s football. We play against teams that have also set themselves a challenge. Of course, before every game there is excitement. We analyze the opponents, both their team actions and individual performers.
– You said that you analyzed your opponent, so what is your opinion about Ferencvaros? And did you get advice from Sergei Rebrov, who was once your opponent’s coach?
– Over the past six years, Ferencvarosi has consistently taken first place in the championship and continues to play at a high level. Last season there were some breakthroughs in the form of a big difference in goals scored and goals conceded. The coach who won the last victory in the championship, unfortunately, decided to go to the country where he is now fighting against us. The new coach is from the Netherlands, under him the team shows a good game, trying to keep the ball and conceding some goals, except for the last game with Debrecen, which ended in a 2:2 draw. Ferencvaros tries to play its own game against any opponent, with its own style. We tried to convey this to our players. Therefore, I think tomorrow there will be a very interesting, uncompromising battle.

– There are many young players in your team, but do you think you have enough experienced players in your team?
– It’s hard for me to talk about the opposing team. This season, they had a chance to strengthen themselves; The situation in our country does not allow us to carry out such strengthening; Of course, it leaves a certain imprint on our actions. As we speak to you here at a press conference, in Ukraine, specifically in Kyiv, the air raid warning is sounding again.
For our young players, it is definitely a great experience and a great opportunity to experience the highest level matches in international tournaments, especially the Europa League. If we want to improve, we keep improving and playing with high-class teams. For Ukraine and Ukrainian football, it is very important to show everything that happens that we will fight until the end with all our strength for what is important to us. This applies to football in particular, and other things in general.
– This will be your second match in Hamburg, how difficult is it for you to play home matches abroad, and do you feel at least at home here?
– This is a rhetorical question. Of course, the situation would be completely different if we played in Kyiv with the support of our fans, in an almost full Dynamo stadium. Valery Lobanovsky or NSC Olympic. We thank this city for welcoming us and doing everything possible to make us feel comfortable here. This is very important for us. In general, I want to thank all of Germany for the support we always feel from you. But no matter how much we say that we play at home, in reality it is not completely true.
– In the first three matches you had a very difficult opponent. Do you feel there is a real chance of getting three points for the first time tomorrow?
– We take every game seriously, study every opponent and always go out on the field to win, showing our game. Making predictions, assessing opportunities and trying to find an advantage in one team or another is your task, journalists,” said Shovkovsky.
We remind you that the match between Dynamo and Ferencvaros will take place tomorrow, November 7. The start of the meeting is scheduled for 22:00 Kyiv time.
