Shakhtar achieved its 40th victory in the Champions League

“Anniversaries” also occurred for Marino Pusic and Georgiy Sudakov

Victory Shakhtar in the fourth round of the group stage over Young Boys (2:1) became a record for the Donetsk club.

The Miners’ triumph was Shakhtar’s 40th in the main tournament Champions League. Shakhtar achieved 25 victories at home, and 15 victories were recorded away.

The reporting match was also an “anniversary” for the coach Marino Pusic, who achieved his 30th victory at the head of Shakhtar. A goal scored Georgy Sudakov became the 90th for the Miners under the leadership of Pusic.

The guests managed to score first; Kastriot Imeri scored. Just four minutes later, the Miners got even – Alexander Zubkov blocked Georgy Sudakov’s cross, and scored Shakhtar’s first goal in the current Champions League.

Later, Sudakov himself, after a combination with Eguinaldo, brought the Ukrainian club ahead. Until the end of the match, Shakhtar managed to maintain a minimal advantage. Georgiy was recognized as the best player of the match.

After four rounds, Marino Pusic’s team has four scoring points and is in 28th position. On November 27, the Miners will hold an away meeting with PSV.
