The player may aggravate his injury
Girona is concerned about the call-up of the winger Viktor Tsygankova to the national team camp Ukraine for the upcoming Nations League matches.
The club believes that calling up the Ukrainian now is not a very suitable idea, since Victor has only recently recovered from injury. Girona will require the national team’s medical headquarters to provide a full medical examination for the midfielder to confirm his readiness.
Tsygankov was injured on October 2 in the Champions League match against Feyenoord (2:3). It was reported that the Ukrainian will miss about 5 weeks due to an injury to the biceps femoris tendon of his left leg.
This season, the midfielder has made eight appearances for Girona in all competitions. The Ukrainian player scored one goal and gave one assist.
The head coach of the Ukrainian national team, Sergei Rebrova, has already announced the national team’s application for the November matches against Georgia and Albania – there was also a place in it for Viktor Tsygankov, who missed the October matches of the national team.
The Ukrainian’s return to the football field is expected on November 10. In La Liga, Michel’s team will fight against Getafe.
The Ukrainian national team has four points and takes last place in Group 1 of Division B of the League of Nations. On November 16, Rebrov’s team will face the Georgian team in Batumi, and on November 19 in Tirana they will meet with Albania.
