On November 12th and 14th, the Moroz team will hold two sparring matches in Rijeka
Youth national team of Ukraine U-17 (football players not older than 2008) announced the squad for participation in the training camp in Rijekawhere two sparring matches are planned with peers from Croatia.
Yuri Moroz and his coaching staff called up 22 players, 9 of whom represent foreign clubs. The list includes Rukh winger Rolan Mustafayev, whom, according to media reports, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan intends to naturalize.
Goalkeepers: Igor Kostenko (Benfica, Portugal), Fedor Tkachenko (Betis, Spain).
Defenders: Nikita Kalyuzhny, Egor Kostyuk, Yaroslav Milokost, Egor Onischuk (all Shakhtar), Arsen Zalipka, Dmitry Solomon, Alexey Piskun (all Rukh), Nikita Melnik (Imolese, Italy), Alexander Tkachenko (Werder Bremen, Germany).
Midfielders: Pavel Lyusin (Dynamo), Artem Zubriy, Alexander Sereda (both Shakhtar), Rolan Mustafaev, Muhammad Djurabaev (both Rukh), Egor Koshchiy (Bayer, Germany), Nikolai Petrovsky (Stuttgart, Germany), Alexander Shishkevich (Riu Ave, Portugal), Artem Muradyan (Borussia M, Germany).
Forwards: Daniil Yurchenko (Dynamo), Dmitry Zudin (Hajduk, Croatia).
Friendly matches between Ukraine and Croatia will take place in Rijeka on November 12 and 14. These sparrings will be one of the stages of preparation for the second stage of selection for the Youth Euro 2025.
Let us remind you that Yuri Moroz’s team made it to the second round of qualifying for the upcoming continental championship. In the first qualification, the blue-yellows defeated Kosovo (4:2) and Kazakhstan (3:0), but lost to Belgium (1:2). However, Ukraine secured the final second place in the group, and with it access to the next round of selection.
The draw for the second round of qualifying for Euro 2025 will take place in December.
