Coventry announced the termination of the contract with coach Robins

The 54-year-old specialist has worked with the club for the past seven seasons.

Coventry announced his resignation Mark Robins from the post of head coach.

The contract with the 54-year-old specialist was terminated after yesterday’s unsuccessful match with Derby County, to which Coventry lost at home with a score of 1:2. After 14 rounds, Mark Robins’ team is only in 17th place in the Championship standings.

Robins has been in charge of Coventry since 2017, when the club was still in League 2, successfully promoting it to Championship level. In the 2022/23 season, Coventry reached the play-off final for promotion to the Premier League, but lost on penalties to Luton at a packed Wembley.

Mark Robins never worked with a Premier League club during his coaching career – in addition to Coventry, the famous former Manchester United player headed Rotherham, Barnsley, Huddersfield and Scunthorpe.

Coventry will play their next match on November 9 – they will face Nazariy Rusin’s Sunderland away.
