The Argentine striker is out until the end of the season
Attack Galatasaray Mauro Icardi suffered a meniscus injury in his right knee in the match with Tottenham (3:2) in Europa League 2024/25.
The forward was injured at the end of the meeting with Spurs. In the morning, the player underwent an MRI and was diagnosed with a rupture and damage to the meniscus of the anterior cruciate ligament. The Argentine will undergo surgery and Mauro is not expected to play again this season.
The 31-year-old striker has made 14 appearances for the club in all competitions this season. Mauro scored six goals and gave two assists.
Galatasaray is in third place in the overall 2024/25 Europa League table with ten points. The Lions are leading the Turkish Super League. In the next match, Galatasaray will play with Samsunspor, which is in second place in the Turkish championship, on November 10.
