Young Manchester United midfielder Zachary “Zach” Baumann has decided his future.
The 17-year-old football player can now officially be called a Ukrainian, because he received a passport as a citizen of Ukraine. The UAF reported this by publishing the player’s first words after completing the procedure for obtaining citizenship.

“I am glad that I finally became a citizen of Ukraine and can now represent my country on the international stage, but a positive one, because I feel the support of many people the team. And promote our success and not only in football field!” Baumann said in a comment to the organization.
Having Ukrainian citizenship gives Zakhar the opportunity to represent Ukrainian national teams in all age categories in the international arena. Baumann was born in Bolton to a family of Ukrainian immigrants from the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
