The voting results for the Kop Trophy are out.
During the Ballon d’Or ceremony, the award for the Best Young Footballer in the World also found its owner. This “Kop Trophy” was won unopposed by Lamin Yamal from Barcelona.
Remarkably, Yamal received 113 out of the maximum possible 115 votes of the respondents, and all due to the legendary striker of Barcelona, Inter and Real Madrid, Ronaldo Nazario.
The members of the jury here are 23 football players who once won the Golden Ball. Ronaldo was the only one who didn’t put Yamal first;
Overall results:
1. Lamine Yamal (Spain, Barcelona) – 113 points.
2. Arda Güller (Turkey, Real Madrid) – 26 points.
3. Kobby Main (England, Manchester United) – 20 points.
4. Savinho (Brazil, Girona) – 19 points.
5. Pau Kubarsi (Spain, Barcelona) – 8 points.
6. Alejandro Garnacho (Argentina, Manchester United) – 6 points.
6. Joao Neves (Portugal, Benfica Lisbon) – 6 points.
8. Karim Konate (Ivory Coast, RB Salzburg) – 3 points.
8. Mathis Tel (France, Bayern Munich) – 3 points.
8. Warren Zaire-Emery (France, PSG) – 3 points.
All three Ukrainian Golden Ball winners – Oleg Blokhin, Igor Belanov and Andrey Shevchenko – are also members of the jury. They all put Yamal first, but also put Savio in the TOP-3.

It was also found that the Ukrainian goalkeeper Andrei Lunin received 13 first places during the voting for the prize for the best goalkeeper of the year, while the forward Artem Dovbik was left without any voting points for Golden Ball.
