The productive Ukrainian derby in the Premier League ended in favor of Egor
Brentford won a strong-willed victory over Bournemouth in a productive match of the 11th round English Premier League – 3:2.
The Cherries, who habitually featured Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarny (and no less habitually played the entire match, receiving a yellow card in the end), were the first to take the lead – the Brazilian Evanilson scored a goal. The hosts equalized 10 minutes later through the efforts of Ioan Wyss.
The second half had just started when Andoni Iraola’s team was ahead again – Justin Kluivert scored from Lewis Cook’s pass. However, the Bees made a quick comeback and were ahead after just 9 minutes. The winning (as it turned out) goal was scored by Wissa, who scored a double.
The Ukrainian confrontation became full-fledged when Yegor Yarmolyuk appeared on the field in the 80th minute. The midfielder helped his team bring the match to victory.
Brentford moved up to 10th place, moving ahead of Bournemouth by a point. In the next round, Thomas Frank’s team will play away against Everton, and Iraola’s team will host Brighton.
