Milan missed an away win over Cagliari in a goal shootout

The favorite with Leau’s brace and Abraham’s goal was close to a strong-willed victory, but Zappa saved a draw for the outsider

Cagliari in a dramatic home match of the 12th round Serie A With Milan managed to escape defeat – 3:3.

Paulo Fonseca’s team conceded in the second minute, but then Rafael Leau took over. The Portuguese’s double allowed the Red-Blacks to go into the break with an advantage. It might not have happened, but Gabriele Zappa’s equalizing goal was disallowed for offside.

Zappa achieved his goal shortly after the break, scoring legally. In the middle of the half, the favorite took the lead again – the hero of the episode was Tammy Abraham, who barely came on as a substitute. But the hosts had the last word – Zappa scored a double and saved a draw for Cagliari.

Milan scored 18 points and remained seventh in the standings. The Sardinian team was able to move one point away from the relegation zone. In the next round, Fonseca’s team will face Juventus, while Cagliari will face Genoa, another fighter for survival.
