Alexandria defeated Obolon at home
Head coach Alexandria Ruslan Rotan celebrated his team after the victory over Carpathians (3:0) in the 13th round Ukrainian Premier League.
“I think it was a difficult match. The first half was either, or. Because the two teams maintained a high rhythm, worked very well, and restructured tactically. A goal in the first half of the match helped us. We weren’t playing well on the ball before the break, but we made adjustments at half-time, having the lead and the space we had, we took advantage of it.”
“In the second half, the game was under our control, we could have scored more. I’m proud of the guys that they understand everything. Our last two matches were grueling, because it required one hundred percent concentration and physical work, this rhythm and pace that we showed together with Karpaty. We survived and thanks to this we got this result.”
“Karpaty is a very good team, they understand and know what the coaching staff requires of them on the football field. Therefore, I only wish them to improve their game and have better results.”
The hero of the meeting was Portuguese defender Miguel Campos. At the end of the first half, the center back hit Alexander Kemkin’s goal from the game, and after the break he scored a hat-trick, converting penalties twice.
Rotan’s team scored 32 points and single-handedly topped the standings. In the next round, Carpathians will host Kolos on November 22.
