Miner won a strong-willed victory over Zarya in the 13th round match Ukrainian Premier League – 3:1.
Mladen Bartulovich’s team took advantage of almost their only chance in the first half. Oleksandr Yatsyk took the ball to the edge of the Gornyakov penalty area and hit the far corner with a powerful shot.
Shakhtar responded with two goals at the beginning of the second half. Artem Bondarenko converted the penalty, which he himself earned. And three minutes later, Kevin accurately shot low from the penalty line. Already in injury time, Jordan cut the ball into his own goal.
Shakhtar scored 26 points and ranks third in the UPL. Zarya has 15 points and is tenth in the standings.
Marino Pusic’s team will play against Ingulets on November 23 in their next match. Bartulovich’s team will meet Zorya on November 25.
