Roma’s sports director commented on Juric’s dismissal

Florent Ghisolfi also answered if he considered the appointment of the Croatian a mistake.

Italian Roma have sacked Ivan Juric after yet another league defeat.

After the official announcement, Wolves sports director Florent Ghisolfi spoke about the decision to end the collaboration with the Croatian specialist.

“I think, as you saw in the statement, we are in no rush to make the right decision.

We would like to thank Ivan Jurich, we understand that this situation has not been easy for him, we thank him and his staff for their hard work and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

“Now we have to think, calm down and make the best decision for the club and for its future.”

Florent also said if he believed that the appointment of Jurich and, accordingly, the dismissal of de Rossi was the right decision.

“History tells us that this is wrong. At this point, all we can do is take responsibility, together with the players and the club, to get out of this situation as soon as possible.”

Finally, the French functionary tells us what to expect from the new coach.

“Again, it’s difficult for me to answer this question right now and the Friedkin family has the same long-term project – to win and continue to invest to achieve this goal.

Now, in the short term, we must focus on getting back to normal. I don’t like the term “transition” because these are Roma and we have to work from the beginning, but we have to survive this situation as best we can,” concluded Ghisolfi.
