The 21-year-old Brazilian scored his first goal this season in a match with Zorya (3:1)
Shakhtar winger Kevin commented on the strong-willed victory over Zarya (3:1) in the 13th round match UPL.
“Of course, the game turned out to be difficult. We had to do a really good job in terms of both team and individual performance on the field. I’m glad that we were able to convert all our efforts into a good result for the team.”
“We were probably a little lacking in concentration in the first half of the game, and we paid for it. Shakhtar lost at the end of the first half, Oleksandr Yatsyk scored a goal for Zorya. After the break, Artem Bondarenko equalized the score from the penalty spot, and Kevin put the Miners ahead. In injury time, defender Zari Jordan cut the ball into his own goal.
In total, this season Kevin played 12 matches for Shakhtar in all competitions, recording one goal and two assists.
Shakhtar scored 26 points and ranks third in the UPL. Marino Pusic’s team will play against Ingulets on November 23 in their next match.
