Former Girona striker Artem Dovbik, who now represents Roma, received the award for La Liga’s top scorer in the 2023/24 season.
On Monday, November 11, Marca held a prize presentation ceremony based on the results of the final campaign. The Ukrainian forward was unable to attend the event in Madrid, so the Pichichi trophy was brought to Rome and presented to the player at the Giallorossi office.
We remind you that last season Dovbik scored 24 goals in the Spanish Championship as part of Girona, winning the race of scorers.
In the summer, the Ukrainian striker moved from the Catalan team to Roma for 30.5 million euros including bonuses, signing a five-year contract with Wolves.
This season, the Ukrainian played 15 matches for the Giallorossi in all competitions, scoring six goals and one assist.
We remind you that Dovbik was also included in the list of 30 candidates for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, but did not receive a single voting point.
