5th round match Europa League between Besiktas And Maccabi Tel Aviv officially transferred to Hungarian Debrecen. It will take place on November 28 at the Nagyerdey Stadium with the stands closed.

Turkish authorities decided not to hold this fight domestically for security reasons. In turn, the Hungarian side, for the same reasons, decided to hold the match behind closed doors.

Let us remind you that on November 7, after the 4th round match Ajax – Maccabi (5:0) riots occurred in Amsterdam. Supporters of Palestinian independence began to attack Israeli fans, and the attacks subsequently escalated into pogroms of Jews throughout the city.

Due to the unrest, five people were injured and taken to hospitals; Israeli media reported at least ten casualties. Amsterdam police ultimately arrested 62 people, of whom ten remain in custody. They are accused of open violence, these people will remain in custody until the court’s decision.

Besiktas has six points from the first four rounds of the Europa League and is in 18th place overall. Maccabi is one of two teams that lost all matches (total score: 2:11). The Israeli team occupies the penultimate line, only Dynamo Kiev is lower with a goal difference of 0:10.
