The Brentford midfielder shared his impressions of his first stint with the country’s first team.

Brentford midfielder Yegor Yarmolyuk has commented on his debut call-up to the Ukrainian national team.

The 20-year-old footballer was previously included in the national team squad for the upcoming Nations League matches with Georgia and Albania.

“I was congratulated by all my teammates and the coach at Branford was very happy for me and gave me a good congratulations.

The team received me well. Players, coaches. They spoke to me, received me well and congratulated me.

In the national team, I believe that they are one hundred percent the best players from the whole country. And in the youth team there is more rotation, but here the squad is more complete. It’s an honor to be here.

It will be an achievement for me to make my debut for the national team and win two games.

What number do I want to get? It’s too early to think about it. Since I am the youngest, whatever is given to me, that is what I will take.

Was there a conversation with Rebrov about the challenge? He congratulated me and said that without the jitters, everything would be fine,” Yarmolyuk said in a comment to the UAF press service.

We remind you that on Saturday, November 16, the Ukrainian national team will meet Georgia in the fifth round of the group round of the Nations League in Batumi at the Adjara Bet Arena stadium. The starting whistle for the match will sound at 19:00 Kyiv time.

Earlier, head coach Sergei Rebrov spoke about the controversial situation in the national team.
