The Ukrainian will fight on the undercard of the show between Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury on December 21
Former interim WBC super middleweight world champion, Ukrainian Sergei Bogachuk (24-2, 23 KO) spoke about his preparation for the fight with the former world junior middleweight champion from Uzbekistan Israil Madrimov (10-0-2, 7 KOs).
“Preparations are going well now, we are in Mexico. We’re going through a training camp here. We arrived just a few days ago, and the collection will last four weeks. Then we fly to Los Angeles for a week, and then we go to Saudi Arabia, we’ll spend two weeks there, and then the fight against Madrimov.”
“We brought guys from my gym with us, from Los Angeles, to the training meeting. These are Mexicans with a good boxing record. I can say that these are very interesting sparring partners.”
Bogachuk will fight with Madrimov on the undercard of the show between Alexander Usik and Tyson Fury. Let us remind you that the second fight between Usik and Fury will take place on December 21 in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
Bogachuk lost to Virgil Ortiz by split decision in his last fight. In the first and eighth rounds, Bogachuk knocked down his opponent. However, after 12 rounds, one judge recorded a draw, the other two gave preference to Ortiz.
