The 73-year-old mentor led the Gialorossi twice in his career
Roma is in negotiations for the appointment as head coach Claudio Ranieri. The Italian coach is offered to lead the team at temporary basis until the end of the 2024/25 season.
Ranieri, 73, has led the Gialorossi twice in his career, most recently for a short spell in 2019. His last place of work was Cagliari. Since the summer of this year, Claudio has not been involved in coaching.
Roma dismissed Ivan Juric as the team’s head coach after a home defeat to Bologna (2:3) in the 12th round of Serie A. It was previously reported that Ranieri is on a large list of potential Wolves mentors. The main candidate for this position was the coach of the Turkish national team, Vincenzo Montella.
Roma are in 12th place in Serie A with 13 points. The Wolves will play their next match after a break for national team games – on November 24, the team of Ukrainian Artem Dovbik will play against Napoli.
