Nacho Fernandez believes Madrid made the wrong decision.

Former Real Madrid center back Nacho Fernandez, who now represents the colors of Saudi Al-Qadisiyah, spoke about his ex-club’s boycott of the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

According to the Spaniard, if he is the leader of Los Blancos, he will attend the ceremony.

“I will not interfere with the club’s decision because they have their own reasons for it. To be honest, I would have gone to this ceremony.

I think the problem is that the impression is artificially created that Vinicius will win, and when it does not happen, it is not easy to live, because the prize is almost in your hands, but at the last moment the organizers said : “No.”

Maybe it was a very hard blow. It’s very easy to say from the outside: “Yes, I’m definitely going,” but to do it you still have to be in the moment.”

Nacho also said that for him, Vinicius Junior is the best in the world.

“I will give the Ballon d’Or to Vinicius without a doubt. For me now he is number one in the world. I am very happy for Rodri, as a teammate, as a player that he is, and as a good person .I am not taking this credit away from Rodri, who also deserves it.

I wrote to Vini and told her it would make her stronger. I’ve never seen a player overcome so much adversity. I’m sure he will win an award in the future,” said the Spanish center-back.

We remind you that it was previously reported that Real could sell Vinicius and other players due to financial problems.
