Edmonton forward scored a goal and assisted in the match with Nashville
Forward Edmonton Oilers Conor McDavid passed the mark 1000 points for a career in National Hockey League (NHL).
The forward scored his team’s first goal in the match with Nashville. The goal brought the Canadian an anniversary point in his career. Already in overtime, Conor chalked up an assist (1001st point) to Darnell Nurse, who scored the victory for the Oilers in the match.
The 27-year-old Canadian became the fourth youngest hockey player in NHL history to achieve this mark, after Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Steve Yzerman. To achieve this achievement, he needed 659 matches – also the fourth most in history. McDavid is the 99th player in the NHL with 1,000+ career points.
Edmonton is in seventh place in the Western Conference. The Oilers next play Toronto on November 17th.
