The teams did not finish the game in a matter of minutes
Match League of Nations V Division C2 between Romania And Kosovo was not completed.
The main time of the match ended in a goalless draw – 0:0. Mircea Lucescu’s team frankly failed the game, not scoring even one shot on target at the opponent’s goal.
Already in stoppage time, Romania fans began chanting insults towards the Kosovo team, including the phrase “Kosovo is Serbia.” Next, there was a clash between Alibek and Rrahmani, after which various objects – and even a plastic chair – flew onto the field.
Guest coach Franco Foda tried to persuade his players to play out the remaining minute of injury time, but his attempts were in vain. The referee of the match, Morten Krogh, also failed to convince Kosovo.
As a result, Krogh blew the whistle to end the game, as Kosovo did not return from the locker room. The fate of the match will be decided by UEFA in the near future: a technical defeat threatens both Romania (for statements made by fans) and Kosovo (for a demarche from the field).
