Baumann, Tsukanov and Surkis are in the starting lineup of the Ukrainian U-19 national team for the match with Slovenia

Christian Shevchenko was in reserve

The starting line-up of the national team has been announced Ukraine U-19 for a match with the youth team Slovenia in qualification European Championship 2025.

Zakhar Baumann, who recently received a Ukrainian passport, will appear from the first minutes. But Christian Shevchenko and Matvey Ponomarenko were in reserve.


Ukraine U-19 (start): Surkis – Digtyar, Zakharchenko, Gavrilenko, Korobov – Ishchenko, Gusol, Baumann, Tsukanov, Sinchuk – Lomaga.

Spares: Backus, Shershen, Shevchenko, Osipenko, Ponomarenko, Dikiy, Pshenichnyuk, Vernattus, Len.


In the first round, Dmitry Mikhailenko’s team unexpectedly lost to Kazakhstan – 1:2. A match against the Netherlands is scheduled for November 19th.

To qualify for the elite round of selection, the blue-yellows must take one of the first two places in their quartet. The chance to advance from third place is minimal – it will go to only one best team out of 13 groups.
