In that match, the only one in the entire cycle, Yaremchuk started and played all 90 minutes. Roman has not scored for the national team since June, when he signed for the Slovakian national team at Euro 2024 (2:1).
Ukraine ranks last in Group B1 with only five points. Albania and Georgia have seven points each, while the leading Czech Republic has eight.
In the confrontation with Albania, Ukraine will only be satisfied with victory. A draw or defeat will automatically relegate the Blue-Yellows to Division C of the Nations League. To take second place and qualify for promotion, the blue-yellows, in addition to their own victory, also need the Georgian team to fail to win in the Czech Republic.
