The documentary will raise issues related to racism in football and the fight for justice
Netflix will release a documentary about the Madrid winger Real Madrid And Brazilian national team player Vinicius Junior.
The film is expected to premiere in 2025. Netflix itself announced the project as an in-depth look at “the life and career of the 24-year-old Brazilian soccer icon.”
The documentary will also raise issues related to racism in football and the fight for justice.
In addition, Netflix promises that the documentary will reveal parts of Vinicius’s life that are little known to the general public, as well as all the challenges he faced early in his football career.
Vinicius Junior is a graduate of Flamengo. In 2018, he moved to Real Madrid for 45 million euros.
Since then, the 24-year-old Brazilian managed to win two Champions Leagues with Blancos, became the champion of Spain three times, won three Spanish Super Cups and two UEFA Super Cups.
Vinicius Junior finished second in the voting for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, behind only Rodri.
In total, this season the Brazilian played 16 matches for Real Madrid, in which he scored 12 goals and made 4 assists.
Real Madrid will play their next match on November 24 against Leganes.
