At UPL, the specialist worked with Zarya, Vorskla and Metalist 1925
Famous Ukrainian coach Victor Skripnik assessed his readiness to return to work.
“Am I ready to work? This should not be taken lightly. Here you need to act selectively. I worked in Ukraine for five years and changed three teams. I don’t want to say that I’ve had enough, that I’m oversaturated. I just want to breathe out. I have the strength to work. Let’s see what happens next.”
“What’s in my plans? Live life. Fight this war, this occupation with all possible forces. I really want all this to end as soon as possible, definitely with our victory. Now it comes first.”
Today Viktor Skripnik turned 55 years old. Previously, he headed Werder Bremen, Riga, and in the UPL he alternately coached Zarya (2019-2022), Vorskla (2022-2023) and Metalist 1925 (2023-2024).
Skripnik left Metalist 1925 at the end of July, when the Kharkov club failed in the “tournament of four” for the right to return to the UPL.
