Unai Melgosa’s team ended both November sparrings with a draw.
Ukraine U-21 national team played an away test match against peers from Italyin which it tied with a score of 2:2.
The scoring was opened in the middle of the first half – Marco Fabbian scored, but two minutes later Ukraine restored the status quo thanks to an accurate strike by Ilya Kvasnitsa. In the 45th minute, the hosts took the lead again after a goal from forward Francesco Esposito.
And yet, the last word in the match remained with Unai Melgosa’s team – in the 83rd minute the score was equalized by substitute Igor Krasnopir.
Previously, Melgosa’s team had a sparring match with Portugal (3:3). Arseniy Batagov scored a double for the blue-and-yellows, and Maxim Khlan scored another goal.
Let us remind you that the Ukrainian U-21 team confidently passed the qualification for Euro 2025. She won eight starting matches, after which in October she made two misfires against England (1:2) and Serbia (0:1). The final tournament of the Youth Euro 2025 will take place from June 12 to July 5, 2025 in Slovakia.
