Goalkeeper Ukrainian national team Anatoly Trubin commented on the away victory over Albania (2:1) in the final sixth round Nations League 2024/25.
“An important victory. Both for the national team and for all Ukrainians on this day. We took our chance and will continue to fight to achieve our goal. Thanks to our defenders and fans for believing in the team.”
In the 2024/25 Nations League, Trubin played in all six matches of the Ukrainian national team. In total, the 23-year-old Benfica goalkeeper played 19 matches for the national team.
The blue-and-yellows finished second in Group B1 of the Nations League and will play in the playoffs for the right to promotion to Division A.
The Ukrainians’ rivals could be the teams of Scotland, Hungary, Serbia or Belgium. The draw will take place on Friday, November 22. The playoff matches themselves will take place next year – on March 20 and 23.
