According to the Brazilian specialist, the “eagles” lost because of a bad start to the match, especially the first 15 minutes.
“Why did we lose to Ukraine? Because we played the first 15 minutes of the match very poorly. We conceded in the 5th and 10th minutes. At such a high level it was unacceptable. We paid too much that price for our own mistakes.”
Sylvinho also said that during the meeting he tried to turn it around by making tactical changes.
“As the match progressed, we changed the game formation from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3 We saw that after the break Ukraine retreated to their own goal, which allowed our team to go forward and play with more attacking players,” – said the Albanian advisor.
