The appeal committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) awarded a technical defeat Kosovo national team for leaving the field at the start of a Nations League match against a team Romania reported the official UEFA website.
The third division meeting took place on November 15. With the score at 0:0 in stoppage time of the second half, Kosovo players refused to continue the match due to chants from Romanian fans in support of Serbia.
It is worth noting that UEFA fined the Kosovo Football Federation 6,000 euros for inappropriate behavior by the team.
The Romanian Football Federation will have to pay a fine of 128 thousand euros for discriminatory behavior of fans, throwing objects on the field and other multiple violations. Additionally, the Romanian national team will have to play their next home match in empty stands.
Without taking into account this match, the Romanian team with 15 points took first place in Group 2 of League C, the Kosovo team (12) finished second.
