If the Canadian does not extend his contract in the near future, he can conduct direct negotiations with the new club as early as January
Defender Bayern Alphonso Davies – priority goal Manchester United for the left-back position for the coming summer.
The English giants, according to German media reports, expect to sign the Canadian as a free agent at the end of the season. Since January, the 24-year-old footballer, whose contract with Munich expires next summer, can conduct direct negotiations with any other club.
Manchester United is not the only (and probably not the main) suitor for Davis. Previously, Spanish media reported that Real Madrid, who have been interested in Davis for at least two years, have already agreed to sign the full-back as a free agent next summer.
Let us remind you that in August the Mancunians acquired two defenders from Bayern – Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. In October, it was reported that the Red Devils were interested in Davis, as well as two other Wroten players – midfielder Leon Goretzka and winger Leroy Sane.
Davis played 15 matches for the club this season and provided three assists. Bayern leads the Bundesliga, five points ahead of Leipzig. Man United is in 13th place in the Premier League.
