All the major successes in the short history of the Riga club are associated with the name of the 44-year-old specialist.
Rizhsky RFS officially extended the contract with the head coach Victor Morozs until the end of 2027.
The 44-year-old specialist is a legend in the capital Skonto, to whom he devoted (with interruptions) 10 and a half years of his football career. Victor also performed in Bulgaria, Belarus and Cyprus.
Having hung up his boots, Morozs immediately began coaching: RTU (Skonto Academy), Daugavpils, RFS (assistant). Victors has been the head coach of the Riga club, founded in 2011, since February 2020. Almost all the main achievements of the Russian Federation are the work of the current mentor: all three championship titles, two out of three national Cups, as well as two historical breakthroughs – reaching the group stage of the Conference League (2022/23) and the general stage of the Europa League 2024/25.
Let us remind you that the RFS is one of the rivals of Dynamo Kyiv in the general stage of the LE. The Riga team will host the Kiev team in the final, 8th round on January 30th.
Moroz’s team performs well in the European Cup, finishing in draws in both home matches of the main stage (against Galatasaray and Anderlecht) and occupying 32nd place with two points. At the same time, Dynamo closes the table, having lost all four matches with a total difference of 0:10.
In the next round of the Europa League, the RFS will host the Greek PAOK, and Dynamo will play with the Czech Victoria (Pilsen) in a formal home match.
