The Argentine has led the American club since 2023
Inter Miami officially announced that head coach Gerardo “Tata” Martino leaves the club for personal reasons.
The club website quotes the farewell words of the specialist, who turned 62 on November 20:
“It has been a great honor to work for such a special club and lead such a special team. I enjoyed my time at Inter Miami and will cherish the memories and relationships made here for the rest of my life. “I leave the club grateful for my time here and would like to sincerely thank everyone who made this possible.”
Let us remind you that earlier it became known that Martino decided to leave his position. It was reported that this decision of the Argentinean was due to personal reasons.
The Argentine coach has worked with Inter Miami since 2023. Under his leadership, the team won the 2023 League Cup and also won the regular season of the Western Conference this season, but was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by Atlanta United.
Let us remind you that the colors of Inter Miami are defended by ex-defender of Shakhtar and the Ukrainian national team Sergei Krivtsov. Also on the team are several legendary Barcelona players, led by Argentinean Lionel Messi.
In addition to Inter Miami, Gerardo Martino led a number of Argentine and Paraguayan clubs throughout his career, as well as Barcelona, the national teams of Paraguay, Argentina and Mexico.
Thank you, Tata 💗🖤
