At least until the end of the tour, the Lviv team rose to fifth place in the standings
14th round Ukrainian Premier League season 2024/25 started in Lviv, where Carpathians won over Kolosom with a minimum score of 1:0.
The first half passed with a minimum of aggravation on both sides, but the hosts still managed to finish it in their favor – after a technical throw by Ambrose Chachua, Brazilian midfielder Bruninho skillfully converted his chance. This is the foreigner’s second goal in the UPL, and earlier his accurate strike brought victory to the Lions with the same score (1:0) over Obolon.
During the remaining hour of the game, Kolos failed to find any compelling arguments against Alexander Kemkin’s goal—zero shots on target. Vladislav Lupashko’s team had a chance to increase the score, but in the end it remained unchanged.
The Lviv team won the fourth victory in the last five matches of the championship and at least temporarily rose to fifth place in the standings. Kolos remained 11th with 13 points, but at the end of the round it risks falling into the zone of transitional matches.
In the next round, Kolos will host Dynamo, and Karpaty will play Zorya. The matches will take place in the first days of December.
