Let’s remember that Gerardo Martino led Inter Miami, where Lionel Messi and Ukrainian defender Sergei Krivtsov played, since June 2023. Under his leadership, the team won the first trophy in its history – the League Cup.
The Herons finished this season in first place in the Eastern Conference of the MLS regular season, but were eliminated by the Argentine coach’s former team, Atlanta United, in the first round of the playoffs.
It was previously reported that Inter Miami will be led by the Barcelona legend.
