The Kiev team beat Chernomorets at home
Head coach Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky commented on the victory over Chernomorets (3:1) in the 14th round match UPL.
“Of course, weather conditions make their own adjustments. Yesterday and the day before yesterday it was impossible to fully conduct training, since the football field was not well prepared. And all the workers we had were involved in working on the field of the Dynamo stadium named after Valery Lobanovsky, so that it would be in good condition and ready for today’s game. And I want to thank them for the work done.
Although, of course, the field today was not as fast as we had planned. It’s important for us that the ball moves as quickly as possible and that the field is watered, but, again, the weather made its own adjustments.”
“We prepare for each game separately and want to have several options on how to act on the football field. One option is to play with three defenders. This isn’t the first time we’ve played like this. We are working on this and will continue to work. Our team has a certain personality, and we will develop different options.”
Dynamo scored 35 points and single-handedly leads the UPL standings. The Kiev team will play their next match on November 28 in the Europa League against Victoria Pilsen. In the Ukrainian Championship, Shovkovsky’s team will play on December 1 against Kolos.
