The Dutch coach has a chance to find a job in the second German Bundesliga.
Former Manchester United caretaker manager Ruud van Nistelrooy could take over at Hamburg, where he played during his playing career.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 48-year-old specialist is on the German club’s list of candidates and is being considered as a replacement for the sacked Steffen Baumgart.
It was noted that the Dutchman could be invited to Hamburg even before Baumgart’s appointment, and then specific negotiations were held with him about possible cooperation.
Hamburg is currently eighth in the 2nd Bundesliga with 20 points from 13 games played.
In the past, van Nistelrooy has worked with two of his former teams – the Dutch specialist who leads PSV, and also served as interim coach of Manchester United, which he recently left after Ruben Amorim joined the club.
It is worth noting that Leicester are also in the running for van Nistelrooy.
