Azerbaijani “Sabah” officially announced the appointment of the former CSKA footballer Vasily Berezutsky for the position of head coach.
The deal with the 42-year-old Russian is for 2.5 years. In his position, he replaced the Croatian Krunoslav Rendulovic.
The last place of work of Vasily Berezutsky was the Chinese Shanghai Shenhua, where he was an assistant to Leonid Slutsky. Previously, he was also part of the coaches of Dutch Vitesse, CSKA and Krasnodar.
Sabah is in fifth place in the Azerbaijani championship standings with 19 points. The team’s winless streak lasts seven matches. He became the head coach of Azerbaijani Sabah.
