Earlier in his career, Shnyder did not meet with either PSV or Shakhtar, but was familiar with other Ukrainian teams.
This Swiss referee worked a friendly match between the Ukrainian national team and Morocco in 2018, which ended in a 0:0 draw.
Schnider also took charge of the first match of the second round of qualification for the 2022/23 Conference League, where Vorskla met Swedish AIK. Then the current main goalkeeper of Shakhtar Dmitry Riznyk, who was defending the goal of Poltava at that time, missed twice, but the Ukrainian team won 3:2.
The match of the fifth round of the Champions League PSV – Shakhtar will take place on Wednesday, November 27, in Eindhoven and will start at 22:00 Kyiv time.
