Defender Presnel Kimpembe and striker Gonçalo Ramos included in the application PSG for the fifth round match Champions League 2024/25 against Bavaria.
Kimpembe has been experiencing problems with his Achilles tendon since November 2022. In February 2023, he briefly returned to the field, but only worsened the situation, suffering an Achilles rupture and being out for a long time. All this time, Kimpembe was undergoing rehabilitation. In October, he gradually began to return to team training on the field.
Presnel is 29 years old, he is a graduate of the capital’s club. The centerback has been playing for the first team of PSG since 2014: 236 matches in total, three goals scored and two assists.
Gonçalo Ramos was injured in August, in the opening match of the French Championship against Le Havre (4:1). The recovery process for the Portuguese forward took just over three months. This season is only his second at PSG – last year he moved to the Parisians from Benfica for 65 million euros.
PSG did not have the most successful start in the current Champions League. Over four rounds, Luis Enrique’s team scored only four points, now being outside the playoff zone, being in 25th place in the overall standings.
