Australian swimmer Emma McKeon announced the end of her career.
McKeon, 30, is a six-time Olympic champion. Three of those gold medals were in the 4×100 meter freestyle relay (2016, 2020, 2024). Emma won the other three golds at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games – 100 and 50 meters freestyle, as well as the 4×100 medley relay.
Also at the last Olympics in Paris, McKeon won silver in the 4×100 medley relay and bronze in the 4×100 mixed medley relay.
In total, McKeon won 14 medals at the Olympic Games (in addition to 6 gold, also 3 silver and 5 bronze). She holds the record for most Olympic medals among all Australian athletes.
In addition to successful performances at the Olympic Games, McKeon also has 20 medals at the World Aquatics Championships.
