Lewandowski’s anniversary goal helped Barcelona beat Brest

The French team suffered their first defeat in the Champions League

Barcelona beat on home field Brest in the 5th round match Champions League 2024/25 – 3:0.

The Catalans took the lead in the 10th minute – Robert Lewandowski converted the penalty. The Polish forward scored his 100th goal in the Champions League. Two players have scored more goals in the Champions League – Cristiano Ronaldo (140) and Lionel Messi (129).

In the second half, Dani Olmo increased Barcelona’s lead, and Lewandowski scored again in stoppage time. Brest left the field without scoring goals.

Barcelona scored 12 points and moved up to second place in the overall Champions League standings. Brest suffered its first defeat in the tournament and dropped to ninth position with 10 points.

In the next round, Barcelona will play away against Borussia Dortmund on November 11, and Brest will host PSV on November 10.
