Guglielmo Vicario sacrificed his health for the sake of the team.
Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario says he made sacrifices for his team’s victory against Man City.
According to Vicario, he played almost every match with a broken ankle.
“Sometimes football gives you its peaks, and sometimes it gives you challenges you don’t expect. I played 60 minutes at the Etihad with a broken ankle, giving the team everything i have
Unfortunately, there’s no way around it… I need surgery. I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to help the team for a while.”
The Italian thanked the staff of the hospital where he underwent surgery as a result of his injury.
“Many thanks to the doctors and staff. The surgery went well and starting tomorrow I will try to come back stronger, healthier and ready to give it all for you again.
Thank you Spurs fans for your love. See you on the field soon,” Guglielmo wrote on his Instagram.
Due to the injury, the footballer will miss almost two months.
